Context Diagram

The Context Diagram shows the system under consideration as a single high-level process and then shows the relationship that the system has with other external entities (systems, organizational groups, external data stores, etc.).

Common Observed Requirements:
1. An ENTITY is not allowed to connect to another ENTITY or DATA STORE.
2. A DATA STORE is not allowed to connect to another DATA STORE or ENTITY.

Documentation

Chapter I
Introduction - say something about the study to be conducted (ex. what is an inventory process all about)

Project Context - introduce your client here
1. Details of the client - company name, owner, address, nature of the business
2. Detailed current process of the client's operation in relation to your study
3. Different problems encountered and justification about these problems (why are they considered problems)

Objectives of the Study (General Objective and Specific Objectives)
1. General Objective - 1 or 2 sentences about the reason for conducting the study
2. Specific Objectives - how will you address/answer the different problems stated in the project context

Scope and Limitation of the Study
1. Scope - how you will implement in your study the different requirements mentioned in the specific objectives
2. Limitation - when the system/study will be implemented, what are the different things it cannot perform

Purpose and Description of the Study - enumerate the entities that will benefit from the study and how they will benefit from it.


Chapter II
Related Studies - should contain one (1) entry for each enumerated item
1. Thesis/Capstone - title, author(s), page(s)
2. Journal - photocopy of any published printed material, title, date, writer, page(s)
3. URL - address, screen shot

Provide a synthesis in relation to your study.


Chapter III
Methodology - composed of different diagrams
1. Process Model - ex. SDLC, SCRUM
2. Conceptual Model - IPO
3. Context Diagram
4. Data Flow Diagram - up to Level 2 only
5. Entity-Relationship Model
6. Activity Diagram
